Terms of Service

1. The service

Harlo is a financial organisation and accounting-support service operated by Deloraine Cattery Ltd, a New Zealand company. By using Harlo, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep sign-in details secure, and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for account activity and for authority to upload or connect business and financial records.

3. Founder offer and subscription

The first 50 eligible new members may receive 90 days of full Harlo access without charge. Unless cancelled before that period ends, membership continues at NZ$59 per month including GST and renews monthly.

Cancel before the next renewal to stop future charges. Except where required by law, processed payments are not refundable solely because part of a billing period was unused.

4. Financial responsibility

Harlo organises and presents information but does not provide legal, tax, investment, or professional accounting advice. Review calculations and suggestions against original records. You remain responsible for filings, payments, classifications, decisions, and deadlines.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use Harlo unlawfully, access another person’s records, interfere with security or availability, introduce malicious code, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or infringe another person’s rights.

6. Connected services

Features supplied through Google, Stripe, Supabase, Resend, Akahu, OpenAI, Replit, or a bank may also be subject to those providers’ terms. We will take reasonable steps to protect your data and explain material effects of provider changes.

7. Availability and changes

Maintenance, faults, and provider outages may occur. We may improve, replace, or retire features and will give reasonable notice where a material change significantly reduces a paid service.

8. Ownership

You retain ownership of information you provide. Deloraine Cattery Ltd owns Harlo’s software, design, branding, and service content, excluding third-party material.

9. Suspension and closure

You may close your account or cancel your subscription. We may suspend or close access for security, non-payment, serious misuse, legal compliance, or a material breach, with notice where appropriate.

10. Liability

Nothing limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Harlo is not liable for indirect loss or loss caused by decisions made without checking source records or obtaining appropriate professional advice.
